Hi guys and welcome to my channel. Here is a video of the incredible adrenaline pass located at Honister Slate Mine in the Lake District. The adrenaline pass takes on 3 challenges which are: 1.The infinity bridge. This is the longest in Europe. 2. Climb the mine. A bit like the via Ferrata but indoors. 3. The 30m Drop. A feeling of freefall and then a controlled landing to the ground. I hope yo...

Rambling With Ritchie: Fabrika Hill Cave Complex, Paphos, Cyprus

Rambling With Ritchie has gone over seas!! Only joking. I just went on holiday to Paphos in Cyprus but I went for a wander early morning whilst waiting for Paphos castle to open and I came across Fabrika Hill Cave Complex. What an amazing and unusual place. A cave system of rooms built under the hill. Absolutely unreal yet at the same time felt very eerie especially when you come across certain...

Wow! That looks very scary
👌 .. thanks for taking me along the trail Ritchie, I have very fond memories of holidays to Ingleton as a child in the 70's.. the waterfalls being a particular favourite. I've just booked a cottage for a week in September & to get me back up to speed decided to watch your video. I've come to the sad conclusion that I'll not be able to manage the trail due to foot Neuropathy .. I'd forgotten the terrain & amount of steps - something I'd not paid attention to as a youngling. .. a bit gutted as was looking forward to re-visiting with my family & dog. Thankfully your beautifully produced video has helped me wander this gorgeous trail without crippling myself! 😂 All the best fella xx
Excellent, honest and useful review. Was considering buying one because of cost. Will have to spend a bit more. Thanks
Hey mate. There’s a new one now called the OEX lite. Apparently they have sorted all the issues I had mention in my video
Wow that looks scary
Honestly not scary it’s great fun! U not fancy trying it?
@@RamblingWithRitchie I would if I could cause I love dangerous but safe activities
I promise this is super safe
@@RamblingWithRitchie you seem like a great person
Ahh cheers Louise 👍🏻😃
Superb Video Marra...brilliant intro...ATVB pal Andy and The ROCK STAR ⭐
Really enjoyed this - thank you!
Hi, I am a new fan & subscribed to your RUclips channel. I want some important information about your channel so that you can grow the channel very quickly. So how can I contact you?
I like this. Very Informative with just the sounds or the wind, footsteps and breathing.
Hi Rich ! It looks like tonnes of fun and we would love to book something like this. We have added this to a bucket list of things to do 🙌 amazing ! Great job new subs here Chelsea and Mike
Apparently the new version of this is bang on for the moisture issue. Yet to see one myself but looking to a new video on RUclips
Yeah mate. Apparently so! I wish I had access to one so I could check it out and do a review
I’ve just bought one,it now has a zip inside above you so you can unzip it to create air flow which is covered by the outer tent so no water can come in
Would you consider creating one exactly like this but cater for my pregnancy announcement? Ill pay you!
Awww Christina. I am honoured u have asked but I don’t know how I would do it? It took me AAAAGES to make this and I’m not exactly a professional. As you can see with all my other videos I just make videos as a hobby. Feel free to email me though at jritchie7188@aol.com
Great! I emailed you!
How’s the video going?
Out of curiosity, could you retrofit vents in the roof? The roof looks to be a “second skin” over the tent? Looking at getting one myself. I use a bivvy when I go fishing and tbh you get the condensation in them too depending on the weather.
I’m really not sure to be honest mate but I’m Soon gonna do a follow up review for this video because since I did the review and I’ve started using it with windows slightly open and a pillow under my neck I’ve been having some great sleep in it
@@RamblingWithRitchie ah great stuff. That’s reassuring. I’m thinking of getting it myself. It’s about 650 if you have a go outdoors account which I do and possibly a bit more off as I hold a blue light card too. I think the fine tuning to ease the condensation is acceptable for such a low price point. Thanks for the reply
Have you got top cashback? If u order it through there u could get another £55-£60 back
@@RamblingWithRitchie I went to go outdoors today for a mooch and they had one on display. They must have listened to people’s comments. The interior is made of a better material by the looks and they added a zip up vent in the internal roof so you can have it open but still be waterproof. Seems to be really sturdy too. I let the kids climb all over it and rock the crap out of it. Think I’ll definitely be treating myself
That one sounds great mate. Get ur blue light on it aswell and ur smashing it.
Looks an interesting place for an explore.
It really is mate. There is soooo much to do
Looks great. I get a bit of vertigo nowadays, but still? Great vlog/ vid and Very tempting
Haha. Cheers mate. It’s a great day out and I reckon u would really enjoy it
With other people on the bridge, how do you keep your balance or stop the wobble?
People can make it wobble but you just take your time. It’s great fun. It’s only like £25 to do aswell
@@RamblingWithRitchie thanks for that.
Anytime. Really hope u do it
I am possibly going to do just the bridge next year. Its floating in my head whether i do it another thing.
Do it! It’s a great way to try and get over the fear
John you’re one brave guy man I’m getting vertigo watching this! #johnrambo
Haha. Cheers dude 😂
So nice talking to you today Ritchie at the shop you work. I will definately watch all your videos buddy. Perhaps could join you soon on some walks 🙂👌👍
That was a brilliant, loved the narrative
Cheers mate. Thanks for coming in and chatting but also thank you so much actually taking time to look my channel up. You live in Blackburn or Darwen?
Thank you so much mate. Did you see hobbit hill?
Ventilation is the key!!! schoolboy error?
It was. Needed both windows open to let it proper circulate
I’ll be doing a follow up review on this when I get chance 👍🏻
@@RamblingWithRitchie thinking of getting one.👍
@@hugostieglitz238 personally I would if I didn’t have one already. They are on offer at £650 right now for the vertex lite at Go Outdoors. Then, if you use top cashback u get another 9% back which is another £58 back
@@RamblingWithRitchie I’m thinking of one, would you recommend?
Been looking at these but can see all the same review as what you said I have seen they have brought out the oex Vertex Lite 130 Roof Tent apparently made some new changes to this with discount codes I can get it for around £550 still in two minds after the the reviews and this vid 😅
Hey mate. Defo get it. Since doing this video I did a camp in it again. Weather was perfect. Nice n warm n dry. Had the windows open slightly to let air circulate through. No moisture at all, could breath fine and I made sure I had a decent pillow. Dream nights sleep
looks fun this. might have to give it a go. im assuming you dont have to take your own climbing gear
That is correct mate. They give u all the gear u need. Wait till Sunday I have a new video coming out called Honister Pass: The Adrenaline Pass. Costs about £100 but you get to do The Infinity Bridge Climb The Mine 30m Jump
@@RamblingWithRitchie i will look out for that one my friend! cheers!
Hey just wanted to let you know my adrenaline pass video is out.
When you open the window/s, is there not mozzie/midge screen in place or is it just wide open??
Hey mate. There’s a mozzie midge screen there
Very enjoyable video with fell locations and names too. Great.
Cheers Peter. I’ve got better videos now. Thanks so much for watching though
Great vid. Good work. Tough weather
Cheers Jimmy I’m gonna be re doing this video soon and get it up to the standard of my new videos
In everyones oppinion, what is the best mine to stop at in Castleton? out of Blue John or Treak mine? or speedwell, etc, I have passed here for stopovers for hikes and a wild camp on Kinder scout but never explored the mines!
Hey. Thanks so much for the message. I’ll be honest with you I can only say Treak Cliff as blue John wouldn’t let me in with the GoPro so I haven’t been in but if u watch this video u will just see how fantastic this cavern is.
You just saved me £850 👍
Cheers for watching Dan. I have since used this on a sunny night. Had the windows left and right slightly open and never had an issue and had a great nights sleep. However if u do think about getting one get on top cashback and either blacks millets and go outdoors do 20% cashback now and again so u get a nice chunk of money off. Get it for about £680 then
@RamblingWithRitchie I was literally in go outdoors an hour ago I said to my Mrs that's good value as I have been looking at the tent box recently which is considerably more. Think il keep shopping round before splashing the cash. Thanks for making the review very much appreciated
@@danclifford2986 cheers mate and thanks for watching. Can I just say I’m still really glad I’ve got it. I’d say it’s defo an end of spring summer beginning of autumn one.
Great video! The intro almost made it look like it was somewhere in Belize. Then some to see it’s in Yorkshire. Really cool video and editing 👍
Ahhh Derrick. Thanks so much for appreciate you watching.
Also I’ve tried to do a few places in Yorkshire. Added a few in the Peak District, Lake District and Scotland too. More to come this year
Great video pal 👍 I remember subscribing to your channel when you had around 880 and you subbed me bank when i had less than 10, my channel was called Bonny Lads On Tour before i changed name 😉
Ahhh mate cheers. I remember ya actually!! I’ve got loads of videos coming soon starting from around September. Thanks for watching my videos I appreciate it.
MATE?! How have u got so many Subs?! Mate u have flown up there. I’m just stuck. I can’t get going 😔
@RamblingWithRitchie Thousands of channels doing the same thing so i just try to be a little different while having a few beers and whiskys as well 🍺🥃🤪👍
@BLOTOUTDOORSSHOW well you have done amazing. U have numbers only I could dream of
Can you not open the front window to minimise condensation?
Did just that the other day mate. Camped back out in it and coz it was warm out I had the door shut but a nice breeze running through both windows and that way it helped with air circulation and not a drop
@RamblingWithRitchie probably only ideal during summer time Mate?
@@mjojrjr6231 yes mate. To be fair it’s spot on for summer
@@RamblingWithRitchie seen it at my local outdoor and looks solid for its price. Probably ideal for nc500 this time of the year.
Mate it would be perfect. Get on millets, go outdoors etc And sometimes they have 20% off on top cash back. I got mine for like £650
Are they replanting no
No mate. As far as I know they aren’t.
Looks like great fun. As someone that loves heights I'm looking forward to taking it on within the next couple of weeks. Hope I get a day like you got
Fantastic. Hope you enjoy mate. I hope the weather suits you today would’ve been a fantastic day
Did you do this in the end mate?
@@RamblingWithRitchie within the next week or 2,now I've got some time off work. I'll keep you informed mate
@@Gmoz79 brilliant mate. Let me know.
ruclips.net/video/TPyBho-0Wtw/видео.htmlsi=z-Mmf5kORXJuzOPQ
What’s this then?
As for water in the doorway.. close the entrance door FULLY before you pack tent away,,,simple..?
I’ll try it again next time but cheers mate
Btw millets and go outdoors have been doing 20% lately or have been doing 20% off on top cashbsck so if u bought through there u will save some money
Great review..Im buying one of these..you absolutely need to crack the windows and maintain ventilation and air flow. This a fundamnetsl in any camping situation. I have a bell tent and.i both wild cam and car camp . i always crack windows in my car, in my FTT and have my vents open accordingly..ive also a roof top tent ands ive alwyas opened the windows up there by an inch or 2.. as a previous comment.. a fan would help to keep air moving.. but the main thing is..open the windows..it will keep air flow..and create less disparity of outside /inside temps. which is the cause of the condensation.
Thanks so much for watching my video. It’s my first ever review video. Slept in my roof tent last weekend, both windows open slightly. I slept brilliantly. No condensation.
@@RamblingWithRitchie brilliant ! Great to hear . Think many would appreciate a follow up , I would ! I in fact .. may be starting a channel myself. Cheers mate
Brilliant. Do one. But build a catalogue up first
Great review i was debating buying one but don't think i will know ta
No worries mate I’ve just used it last week in the lakes and I left both windows open a little bit and to be honest (obviously left the netting on) and I slept fantastically
very nice video, we are coming to the Lake District in June (from the Netherlands) and also want to do this beautiful waterfalls walk. The video shows me nicely what we can expect. Beautiful views and many steps. we are looking forward to it. Greetings Erik
Hey Erik. Did you come over?
Climbed it today and this is an excellent representation of the climb
Thank you very much Guy
I am ngl they need to invent a machine connected to the front of the karts that fire rubber tortoises 👍🏻👌🏻😂
That would be cool! Can you imagine haha
Going here with the lads in a few weeks it looks cool 👌🏻👍🏻
It’s sooo cool but it’s a dear do
Done this was £8 couple of yr ago. Awesome place. Tuck me a steady 4 hrs to get round. Don't rush it plenty of Awesome scenery. Question is Is there another place like this I can't find one in the u.k ?
Hi Ian. First of all thank you for watching my video. As far as I know there isn’t a walk where you pay like this one but there are a few other beautiful places. There’s Malham cove which I’ve done a video on and if you follow my route it will again take you a good few hours and pass a few amazing places.
@RamblingWithRitchie yeah just watched your malham cove video thanks it's on the bucket list for this year. I live in york so it's not a bad drive time wise. A few places in peak district also. Cheers.
Have you done the Malham cove walk yet?
Outstanding short my friend
This means so much. Thank you
Great review I won’t be buying one now I was literally going to buy one as well 👍
Cheers mate. Really appreciate your response. First ever review I’ve done.
No worries thank you 👍
Did you get one of these in the end? They have just brought a new one out haven’t they. OEX 130 LITE
Very atmospheric video with stunning views, thank you for sharing your walk 👟 with us 😊 .
Thank you so much for watching. Really appreciate it.
I love this site thanks for posting. The scree slope on Pike O Stickle was the site where neolthic axes were quarried and cut 5000 years ago from volcanic greenstone (a nationally rare type of stone). The whole of the site is the axe factory and the cave is where workers escaped any bad weather, which I am sure there was a lot of! You video makes me want to go back up there.
Cheers Dave. Yeah it’s an incredible place ain’t it. Thank you so much for watching.
Hey man awesome video. 💪🏻
Thank you so much mate
This is just amazing!, I want to do this walk myself. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much Timothy. Have you done it yet?
I am so glad to have found your channel. I went here many times with my family on Summer holidays. The last time I did the complete walk was with a group of friends in 1992 so yes a long time ago. Its the most awesome place I ever had the opportunity to see and absolutely worth every penny. Thank you so much for bringing back such happy memories for me you wouldn't believe how much I appreciated this. Stay safe on your journeys. Vivien 👍😊
Hi Vivien. Thank you for watching my channel I really do appreciate it. U watched anymore of my videos?
Really enjoyed this walk John! Down by the river very scenic ❤🎉
Hi David. Thanks for watching. I hope you’re well
very good john really enjoyed that and that sheep towards the end walking past your camera haha made me laugh did that ha !
